There is a great humanity to dreams that is realized once they are shared, supported and grounded. The DREAM PARTY HOTEL aims to re-pioneer the practice of dreaming as an active, common aspect of daily life for individuals, families and larger communities. To collectively share dreams is so fantastically impactful I cannot think of a single more important key to building sustainable connections, community and individual psycho-spiritual growth. Plus, the DREAM PARTY is fresh, exciting, proven, and so deeply powerful.

Dreams are a fundamental aspect of life, both human and otherwise, and we all dream during the nearly one-third of our lives spent asleep (whether you’re remembering them or not). Since dreaming is universal and nature is not superfluous, then we should be paying attention. For those who know deep down that there is more to life than just what lies on the surface or beyond the daily routine, you’ve come to the right place.

  • Save Time

Unlock holding patterns that keep you repeating the same mistakes, ending up in the same places with the same people who don’t work for you, in the same dynamics that don’t benefit you, falling into old habits, mind sets, relationships, etc. Sacrificing 15 minutes in the day to focus on your night dreams can end up saving you years of habitual struggle.

  • Resolve Nightmares

Nightmares are unfinished dreams that show us where we are unresolved or left behind. Through careful guidance you can put your nightmares to rest once and for all.

  • Release Burden and Fear

See your life through a fresh perspective. In dreams you will have experiences that you might otherwise dismiss or deflect due to subconscious blocks, traumas, issues, prejudices, etc. In dreams you are able to safely break through the identity-barrier and experience life in new ways which can release you from those subconscious blocks and burdens that you unknowingly let shape your life.

  • Sustain Personal Growth

Improve and sustain deep psychological growth through creating a bond with your own inner source of guidance and wisdom rather than external authority - influence your wellbeing from the inside out.

  • Be Effective

Understand conflict in all its multiplicity and layers. Rarely are conflicts (especially personal conflicts) isolated. Almost always conflicts are bound to many different aspects of our experience and memory and weave a multilayered fabric. Although it seems that dreams are difficult to understand because they are so complex and ‘nonsensical’ this is also their greatest strength. If we can unlock the language of our dreams on a personal level we will be able to understand the invisible strings that connect one complexity to another and how our obstacles and burdens tie in together. Dreams are like having a visual story that in 5 minutes will explain and connect dynamics that could take years to talk-out sequentially.

  • Boost Energy + Creativity

Re-vitalize energy and creativity by re-connecting with your own deep sense of meaning, purpose and passion and by unblocking unconscious restrictions imposed on you by yourself or others.

Active Dreaming is a rich and lively approach to dream work that goes far beyond analytics and delves into the dream itself as a live-action experience imbibed with multiple layers of meaning to inspire various courses of potential understanding and action. A synthesis of practices created by Robert Moss, Active Dreaming pursues a perspective on dreaming that is shared cross-culturally throughout human history and has an extensive track record for being the most effective way to understand dreams - that is, by doing rather than just thinking about. Active Dreaming is an invitation to integrate your dreams into waking life through inspired action as a way to build a bridge between night and day, conscious and unconscious and give you the tools you need to truly know yourself in and out. Analytics are great but unlike traditional Western dream analysis, we do not end our curiosities there. Pursuing dreams actively with guidance and integrating them into our waking lives is essential for a holistic and integrative practice that will suit the interest for anyone no matter where on the spectrum of comfort and intrigue of self-exploration you fall.

What We Do

Strategic Storytelling

Using the brilliant methods of Active Dreaming you will be invited to share your dreams and stories in a way that is efficient, effective and strategically designed to get you moving, integrating, and closer to your goals, dreams and soul-desires.

Honest, Non-projective Feedback

Perhaps the most important guideline of Active Dreaming is to always speak in the first person ‘I’ when commenting on someone else’s dream. This helps you keep your authority and authorship over your dream, since you are the first and foremost expert on what your dreams mean. Ultimately this practice is to teach you how to relate to your dreams in a way that empowers you as your own source of guidance.

Conscious Dream Journeying

Conscious Dream Journeying is a staple of Active Dreaming that truly sets us apart from any other method of dream-analysis. Using a single-framed traditional drum to fuel us into the dreamworld, we will embark on real-time journeys back into the dreamscape, either into a dream we need to know more about or into a new place all together for the purposes of healing, creativity, adventure and more.

Action Plants

Dreams require action! One of the losses of modern psychoanalysis is that it keeps the dream in the mental sphere, in the realm of ideas. But dreams are sources of energy and yearn to be worked with in the external world. Our conversations will always be oriented towards action-based goals which help us bridge the gap between the waking and dreaming, conscious and unconscious, physical and spiritual.

“The feedback from my dream was downright transformational.  I had chills while reading and now understand my dreams and my inner world in a whole new way. I received brilliant metaphors and stories providing a clear depth of detail on the possible meanings and important actions and understandings to incorporate in my self for a better life.  The tone of writing also has a beautiful balance of clean charm blended with the hard truth.   I am profoundly grateful for Dream Party Hotel.  If you have even a whisper of temptation to use this service- DO IT.”

— Ben V.

“It was such a good experience for me. You, and the others who attended, supported me in an important spurt of growth and development. I am living everyday with the improvements you helped me make in my life. Thank you so much.”

-Monica

I love that even though I interpret dreams there was a consistent safe place I could come to where other people could lovingly give insight to the dream as someone who knows nothing about my internal insecurities or struggles. And with the weight of the world bearing down on so many of us, the dream party room is a wonderful place to see how that really is or in some cases is not affecting the healing world of dreams.  Thank you Michaela for being such a light in this world and holding such a safe wonderful space!“

-Amanda

  • Easy fix. Rephrase that to “I don’t remember my dreams” and keep reading.

  • To remember your dreams you must start recording them. Pen and paper, phone, computer, audio recording, whatever suits you. To get started try just writing down anything at all when you wake up like how you’re feeling or first thoughts that pops up. That will help launch the habit. Keep it up! • Nightmares are a type of dream, and all dreams are designed to help rather than hurt you (although it may not seem like it sometimes). Nightmares can be very stressful and hinder our interest in exploring the dream world further which makes sense, but the opposite approach should be taken if we want to get issues resolved. Especially if the nightmare is recurring, we are being given a strong message that there is something for us to pay attention to right now. Choose our Private Consultation we’ll help you personally.

  • Dreams concerning your normal day to day can be the most practical and useful to have. Learn how to use those dreams to gain insight into small tweaks that can make a world of difference, especially when it comes to bringing some extra creativity and mix-up into your routine.

  • During our private consultation and community events we will show you how to choose the most important or interesting part of any dream to narrow down your focus and easily manage the never ending details.

  • Glad you asked.

We can think about things indefinitely or we can give them some consideration and then actually do something about it. The style of dream consultation that you’ll find here at the DREAM PARTY HOTEL is geared towards action with its foundations in traditional shamanism which understands dreams as real life experiences that are in-line with and inform waking life.

As a direct transference of an image or set of images, a dream is a concrete experience and asks to be worked with in the same manner. To take the dream “out of the mind’ and place it into the world, via action, is the only real way to honor and truly understand a dream. With our action we let the dream speak for and build upon itself in an organic manner with correct timing. The idea is to actually live our dreams, our greater stories, and our purposes - not just to think about it.

Of course we use question and answer and some analysis wiggle out necessary details but we do so in order to create an action plan so that we do not leave it up to our thinking alone to truly understand the messages of our dreams.

We like to think of dreams as wonderful puzzles with even more wonderful rewards. They are intuitive and experimental but always applicable to the tangible world. Prizes can range from small satisfactions to jokes, inspirations to friendly interactions, to life-changing (and even life-saving) divinations, experiences, and guidances. Dreams can be about others, community and society, but most commonly dreams are about the person dreaming. Dreams are all about the self: self reflective, self prioritizing, self preserving. Dreams are custom made images that are intuitively crafted each night to be used as survival technology and pertains to all of the details known and unknown of your life. Dreams are a part of the human condition- to all people, all cultures, and in all times dreams are universal and necessary. Dreaming is always happening. We can take the puzzles and incorporate them as gifts as we so choose, or we can choose to leave them untouched; but as it has been understood time and time again: it is of far greater loss to turn our back on dreams then it is to approach them.

This is Dreaming as a field of the future revised once again for the who-knows-how-many-times for the here and now as we know it.
